In the Summer of 2019, Living Walls launched an annual event series aimed to spark community conversation about HIV/AIDS and prevention strategies. The event series included seven panel discussions and two mural unveilings focused on reducing HIV infections by encouraging open and safe discussions between sex partners and friends about HIV/AIDS. We partnered with Southern Fried Queer Pride, Wussy Magazine, Morph Atl, La Choloteca, and Out Front Theatre to curate seven different events centering around HIV awareness and stigma reduction. These events were free of cost to the community. The goal of this project was to help humanize a condition that still holds so much stigma and inspire the art for the murals.
